  This placement would suit... adventurous people who want to explore the delights of Tanzania by mountain bike – an excellent way to tour a beautiful country with so much to offer. Wildlife, culture and stunning landscapes will leave you wanting to stay forever.

This adventure tour is a brilliant way to experience Tanzania up close and personal as you ride through its vast African plains, wild forests and national parks. A mountain biking tour is a fantastic way to combine the excitement and adrenalin of biking different routes with the fascinating and addictive experience of travelling somewhere new and beautiful.

GapsportsWhere will I go?
DAY 1: Pick up from airport and orientation in Arusha. Overnight at Ilboru Campsite.
DAY 2: 40-50 km cycle. Overnight at Mezerani Campsite.
DAY 3: 30-50 km cycle. Overnight at local campsite.
DAY 4: 60-80 km cycle. Overnight at Selela Forest Campsite.
DAY 5: Rest, walk, cycle and cultural day. Overnight at Selela Forest Campsite.
DAY 6: Visit to Ngorongoro Crater and into Serengeti. Overnight at Seronera Campsite.
DAY 7: Full day’s game drive in the Serengeti. Overnight at Seronera Campsite.
DAY 8: Full day’s game drive in the Serengeti. Overnight at Lobo Campsite.
DAY 9: 40-50 km cycle. Overnight at local campsite.
DAY 10: 50-100 km cycle. Overnight at tented camp, Lake Natron.
DAY 11: Rest, village or waterfall walk, mountain climb, watching flamingos (Lake Natron).
DAY 12: Drive back to Arusha. Overnight at Arusha lodge.
DAY 13: Free day to explore Arusha. Transfer back to airport.

Please note that due to certain conditions (weather, overuse, etc) roads, paths and campsites described in the itinerary might not be in suitable conditions. This is often unpredictable, and slight changes to the itinerary might have to be made en route.

What will I see?
Tanzania has an abundance of picturesque landscapes and wildlife which will leave you wishing there was a way to surgically attach your camera to your hand. Mountains, plains and valleys will become your playground as well as an exquisite viewing platform from which you can see blue wildebeests, gazelles, zebras and buffalos. You will also visit the impressive Ngorongoro Crater and the waterfalls of Late Natron, meeting locals from small villages as you travel around this diverse location.
