	This placement would suit... Someone who wants to practise their French and who is keen to work hard to earn a wage in a superb ski resort. This is a great opportunity to earn a wage, learn some French and enjoy winter sports in one of Canada’s top ski resorts. Oyster will place you in a top end hotel in Tremblant, a resort in Quebec province. French is the first language in this part of Canada and you’ll have lots of opportunities to practise speaking it with fellow staff and guests. We include a course to give you more confidence. Don’t worry, though, most people can speak English too! Canadian hotels are proud of their reputation for good service and they will normally start you off as a Housekeeper to see how you perform. This involves preparing and cleaning guest bedrooms. If you can show that you have what it takes, there is often the opportunity to move on to other areas, such as concierge, restaurant and bar work. Standards are high and you’ll be expected to be punctual, smart and polite. If you don’t mind working hard you’ll have a great time - both at work, where you'll be part of a busy team and, of course, in the resort itself. Where will I live? The hotels will provide you with staff accommodation, with daily rent roughly equal to one hours pay. Expect a basic shared room with access to toilet and shower facilities. How can I spend my free time? Where do we start? If you’re into ski-ing, cross country ski-ing, boarding, ice-skating you won’t be disappointed. And if winter sports are not your thing you’ll enjoy the social life in these busy resorts. You’ll meet plenty of like-minded people among the Oyster group and others at the resort.
